2024 already you say? Preposterous!
I’ve been in the writing/revising/plotting/planning/doing all the thing cave for a few months now, and the start of the year has just flown right past me. I keep meaning to pop in with an update, but that was pretty much the gist of it, so not really that exciting lol.
But today I have a newsworthy update, just not one I had any plans to make.
If you pre-ordered The Jock & The Jerk (Maddox Sharks Book 3) you may have gotten an email from Amazon telling you the pre-order was cancelled. I also got that email, and it was news to me.
After talking with someone at Amazon, I still don't really have an explanation. The best they could tell me was that it must have been cancelled due to some mysterious unknown error, whoops, case closed, nothing we can do. 😒
We’ll just blame Mercury retrograde, I guess.
If you’re experiencing déjà vu, you’re not alone. This is exactly what happened with Away Games, only that pre-order was cancelled on release day and caused a ton of panic and chaos. So, silver lining, I guess, that this glitch hit months ahead of time, before I even officially announced the pre-order.
Obviously, this is extremely... let's go with frustrating, and I apologize for any confusion.
Ultimately, this glitch isn’t really going to change much. (Except my mood for the day. 😜) The Jock & The Jerk is still coming later this year as planned, but I guess we'll just go with an old school live release this time. I love (the concept of) pre-orders, but apparently they do not love me back. 💔 sniff It’s #fine.
There's nothing you need to do on your end if you pre-ordered. You won't be charged for the cancelled preorder and you can just grab the book on release day. (I'll announce the date here once it's nailed down.)
And for those of you who didn’t yet realize that another Maddox Sharks book is coming, surprise, lol!
